The Turning Point

There was a time when mornings felt heavy. Managing a manufacturing business brought challenges that felt endless, and I realized I needed a different purpose. I chose myself. I started training at 5:30 a.m., turning effort into discipline, and discipline into a passion for running and hiking.

The Setback & The Spark

“I needed something to remind me who I was—and who I still wanted to be.”

Despite being told I didn’t have the “body of a runner,” I conquered 5K, 21K, and eventually 42K. But then came the setback—a knee injury and surgery that threatened to take it all away.

The Birth of Mika’s Inspirations

While in recovery, I created a small pendant: a running girl. It rested close to my heart throughout my healing—a quiet reminder of passion and unfinished dreams. Eight months later, I ran my first half-marathon, and that same year, the full Colombo Marathon.

That was the moment Mika’s Inspirations was born. What started as a personal symbol became a mission: to create jewelry that inspires quietly, meaningfully, and personally.
